The Staveley Nature Reserve work parties - where you can help keep the reserve in tip-top condition start 10am. Meet at car park down track next to church. April 26th; May 16th & 25th; June 13th & 19th.Andrew Jones MP attended the reopening of the Staveley nature reserve on Sunday 17 June.
The event was a celebration of the nature reserve and a thank you to all of the key supporters and funders who had been vital to the expansion project at Staveley.
The opening saw new car parks and paths, woodland and hedgerows, and also the official opening of the new viewing hide.
“It’s great to see the transformation the reserve has gone through, the new paths and car parks will make it much easier for the community to enjoy the area.
“It is important that we protect and maintain areas like this so that future generations can enjoy them as much as we have.
“Thanks must go out to those who helped raise funds and build the reserve into what it is now,” Andrew said.
The nature reserve is situated north of Staveley and is open at all times.
